WHAT'S IN THE NAME? THE STORY BEHIND FIX & FOGG
Ever wondered how Fix & Fogg got its name? We get asked all the time, and honestly, it’s got a pretty cool backstory.
It all comes from Jules Verne’s classic novel Around the World in Eighty Days. The name Fix & Fogg is inspired by two characters, Detective Fix and Phileas Fogg. If you’re not familiar with the story, it’s an adventure-packed tale about Phileas Fogg trying to travel the world in just 80 days, with Detective Fix hot on his heels.
So why did we choose this name? Well, much like the book, starting Fix & Fogg was a bit of an adventure. We set out with one big goal: to make the best peanut butter around. Just like Fogg, we love a challenge, whether it’s dreaming up bold new flavours or sharing our nut butters with the world. And like Detective Fix, we’re sticklers for detail, making sure every jar is top-notch before it lands in your hands.
From our tiny start in Wellington to spreading the love for peanut butter across the globe, Fix & Fogg is a reminder that great things come from passion, persistence, and a little bit of adventure.
So next time you’re scooping from the jar, know there’s a story behind the name - one that’s all about curiosity, craftsmanship, and embracing adventure.
